Emilie Georgia trained as a textile designer at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Scotland's No.1 university for design. Specialising in print design her forming principle was to create a brand with an ethical backbone and a long life span. Combining sustainability with support for British manufacturing and craftsmanship. Emilie showcased her design work in London at New Designers 2016, where her eye for colour, innovation and artistic skills were commended by some of the industries leading design houses. Emilie has since collaborated and worked with John Lewis, Sofa's & Stuff, The Pink House and Steven Burgess Fine Furniture and a mix of interior designers and private clients to create striking designs for unique spaces.
"I would say my style is an injection of bold pattern and colour which is then balanced out with neutrals. My designs largely incorporate botanical motifs, bright patterns and rhythm, I want my work to create calm but characterful spaces in our homes. I'm always influenced by my surroundings and my love for colour and textures. All of my designs start off as hand drawn or painted pieces of art which are then translated onto an array of surfaces using innovative techniques. The combination of traditional techniques and digital technology allows the final printed design to have the aesthetic of my original hand-drawn .' - Emilie Georgia
