Emilie Georgia trained as a textile designer at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Scotland's No.1 university for design. Specialising in print design her forming principle was to create a brand with an ethical backbone and a long life span. Combining sustainability with support for British manufacturing and craftmanship. Emilie showcased her design work in London at New Designers 2016, where her eye for colour, innovation and artistic skills were commended by some of the industries leading design houses. Emilie has since worked with a mix of interior designers and private clients to create striking design and unique spaces.
"I would say my style is a splash of bold with a blend of neutral, my designs largely incorporate botanical motifs, bright patterns and rhythm, I want my work to create calm but characterful havens. I've always been influenced by my surroundings and my love for colour and texture. All of my designs start off as hand drawn or painted pieces of art which are then translated onto an array of surfaces using innovative techniques. A combination of digital technology allows the final printed design to retain the original hand-drawn aesthetic of my artwork.'
